Abstract: Multiple Criteria Mathematical Programming (MCMP) involves simultaneous optimization of several objective functions, usually conflicting, subject to a system of constraints. We will define MCMP terminology, provide introductory examples, discuss basic concepts, and present general formulations. Then, methods for the solution of MCMP problems will be reviewed. Goal programming, Compromise Programming and Interactive Methods will be discussed as examples of broad categories of MCMP approaches.
